Our shearling coats are made with double faced shearling sheepskin for maximum effect and comfort. On the outside is soft and supple suede leather. On the inside is the creamy, cosy sheepskin fleece (12mm - 1/2 inch thick). Our shearling coats are made to order and we have total quality control and attention to detail.

About our Shearling Coats
Our sheepskin coats are made from the best quality shearling sheepskins - soft and supple. 0.5inch (12mm), shorn with soft and creamy wool fleece inside.. The suede leather is breathable and lightweight yet dense, so it keeps you dry and protected from the wind, yet it won't let you overheat. Fleece inside ensures warm, dry and cosy comfort.
Shearling coats by Maruia of New Zealand are classic in design and built to last for years of hard wear. Made in New Zealand from the finest New Zealand sheepskins. Our classic styles of sheepskin coats will never date, and have built-in quality to make them last through the generations. It's at home on the range or at the cafe, and keeps you warm in all weather.
Each shearling coat is made to order for you. You can choose from the standard sizes, however each coat can be changed to suit. The coats are easy to fit and most people simply order their size. However if you want longer or shorter arms, longer length, etc we can do this for you. We have a no returns policy on our sheepskin coats for this reason. All of our products are guaranteed for 12 months. If there is a problem with quality, we are responsible and we will fix it.
Cleaning and waterproofing your sheepskin products
For cleaning your sheepskin coat, we provide a " Suede Eraser" for small marks and stains (even pen marks). For more complete cleaning use our sheepskin shampoo which will work for all leather and sheepskin. Your coat will be naturally water resistant but we also supply a water repellent spray just in case. Of course, the sheepskin coats are drycleanable which could be done maybe once per year if necessary.
