You
can wear your shearling slippers with or without socks. Please
wear wool socks though, like our Milford Merino Wool Socks. Woolen
socks will not effect the breathability of your shearling slippers
- just enjoy!
Washing
your shearling slippers
To
wash your shearling slippers, use a mild soap and a brush
or cloth. Rinse them off and keep the shearling slippers inside
away from the heat while drying. We also supply special "Sheepskin
Shampoo".
Shearling
slippers sizing
All
shearling slippers will feel snug and almost too tight to
start with. Remember our shearling slippers are a natural
and breathable leather product that will stretch out over a couple
of days. If you know your shoe size and tell us, there should be
no problem fitting your shearling slippers. Please follow
the instructions on the order form, but if you're not sure, just
tell us what size you are in the commments section. Our shearling
slippers only come in whole number sizes not half sizes, so
if you are a half size (say 8 1/2) then go for the nine.
Our
shearling slippers have removable and replaceable insoles
that are custom made for each shearling slipper size. Easy
and inexpensive replacements will extend the life of your shearling
slippers. You can take the inner sole out and wash it without
having to wash the entire shearling slipper. You can replace
the inner sole when they wear out, making your slippers last longer.
Waterproofing
your slippers
The
sheepskin in our slippers is naturally water resistant,
but will absorb water unless sprayed with a waterproof spray. Always
remember that the breathability of our natural shearling slippers
can be lost if you spray them with a waterproofing agent. It is
okay to get the shearling slippers wet as your feet will
still stay warm. You can spray the shearling slippers with
waterproofing like you can any other leather products, just please
be aware that to gain the waterproofing, you sacrifice the natural
breathable quality of the shearling slippers.
